Everyday household rubbish like furniture and packaging. No concrete. No soil. No ceramic tiles. No hardwood. No renovation waste. Book Mixed / Heavy for that. Or Light Construction, if there are no tiles, hardwood, soil, concrete or rolls of carpet and underlay.
Mixed / Heavy
Mix of all of the above. Concrete, bricks, green waste, clean fill, general waste, household clean-ups and renovation rubbish. Ceramic tiles and hardwood accepted. The 8m takes no soil, concrete or besser blocks.
Light Construction
Light waste from building and renovation jobs: timber, plasterboard, flooring, metal and glass. Rubbish from the job is fine. No tiles. No soil. No concrete. No hardwood. No rolls of carpet and underlay.

What does a 3m hold?

Roughly 12 full wheelie bins. A 3m skip bin is $360 for general waste, or $350 for green. At 2.4m long, it needs less driveway than a 4m.

What's the weight limit on a 3m?

A general or green waste load stops at 600kg. Booked as clean fill, concrete and brick, or mixed and heavy, it can hold 3,000kg. Mixed and heavy in a 3m is $545.

Is a 4m worth the extra over a 3m?

If you'll fill it. A 4m general waste bin is $470 and holds about 16 wheelie bins, four more than the 3m.

Do I have to apply to the council?

No. Bins go on your own property only, like your driveway. City of Moreton Bay wants no permit for that.

Is a week usually enough?

Here, yes. Nearly every Strathpine booking sets the pick-up within seven days. If you need a 3m longer, each extra day is $33.
