A 2m general waste skip bin from Shelby Skips costs $310 across Brisbane's northside, Moreton Bay and the Sunshine Coast, GST included (prices last checked 04/10/2026). Green waste is $300, clean fill $320, concrete and brick $320, light construction $410, and mixed and heavy $445. That's for a week, with delivery and pick-up included and the bin filled to its weight limit. A 2m skip bin is 1.8m long, 1.5m wide and 0.9m high, and holds about 8 wheelie bins or 2 box trailer loads.

What's a 2m good for?

Household junk from one room, a garden tidy-up, or a small load of soil. A bathroom renovation needs at least a 3m. Other jobs are in our size guide. We don't do a bin smaller than 2m.

Should I get a 3m instead?

If a lounge, a fridge or a washing machine is going in, yes. A 3m is the same height and 600mm longer. It holds half as much again for $50 more on general waste.

Does it have a drop-down door?

No, there's no door on the 2m, so you load it over the side.

How heavy can it be?

400kg of general or green waste. 500kg of light construction. 2,000kg of clean fill, concrete and brick, or mixed and heavy.

What does an extra day cost?

An extra day on a 2m is $33, GST included.
