Clean Fill
Uncontaminated soil and dirt, free of debris and plants. No rubbish, though some roots and turf are fine.
Concrete
Dispose of concrete, bricks and roof tiles. No rubbish. Ceramic tiles $100 extra.
General
Everyday household rubbish like furniture and packaging. No concrete. No soil. No ceramic tiles. No hardwood. No renovation waste. Book Mixed / Heavy for that. Or Light Construction, if there are no tiles, hardwood, soil, concrete or rolls of carpet and underlay.
Mixed / Heavy
Mix of all of the above. Concrete, bricks, green waste, clean fill, general waste, household clean-ups and renovation rubbish. Ceramic tiles and hardwood accepted. The 8m takes no soil, concrete or besser blocks.
Light Construction
Light waste from building and renovation jobs: timber, plasterboard, flooring, metal and glass. Rubbish from the job is fine. No tiles. No soil. No concrete. No hardwood. No rolls of carpet and underlay.

Will a 2m or 3m bin be big enough?

Often. Nearly six in ten bins booked online here are a 2m or a 3m. Across our area, it's under half. Big bins are rare.

What if my rubbish has tiles or rubble in it?

If it's only tiles and rubble, a concrete and brick bin takes it, with $100 extra for ceramic tiles. Any other rubbish makes it mixed and heavy. One in four bins booked here is mixed and heavy, and a 3m is the usual size for that. The 3m mixed and heavy costs $545 and holds up to 3,000kg.

What if it's just soil or old pavers?

Book it as clean fill or concrete and brick, not mixed and heavy. Roughly one bin in five here is soil or concrete, which is above our average. A 4m of either takes up to 4,000kg, from $420.

Is there a permit to get?

No. Redcliffe is in the City of Moreton Bay, and no permit is needed for a bin on your own property. That rules out shared land, like a unit block's common driveway or car park.

How long can I have the bin?

You have it for the week. About half the people here book the pick-up within three days. Past the week, a 2m or 3m costs $33 a day more.
