What counts as clean fill?
In a Shelby Skips bin, clean fill is soil. Up to a tenth of the load can be gravel or rock, and up to a tenth clay and sand. The rest has to be soil.

Can soil from a garden bed go in?
Yes. Some roots through it are fine.
Can turf go in?
Yes. Turf goes in clean fill, not green waste.
What does the council call clean fill?
City of Moreton Bay describes clean fill as "uncontaminated fill resulting from excavation and other earthworks".
How do I size a bin from a hole?
Measure the hole in metres, then multiply the length by the width by the depth. That gives you cubic metres. Dug soil takes up more room than it did in the ground, because it's no longer packed down. Clean fill is one of the jobs people most often book too small. If you'd rather, tell us the size of the hole when you ring.
Can I fill a soil bin to the top?
To the rim, and no higher. Every size we offer for soil is one we can lift full. A full 8m of soil would be over the 6,000kg our trucks can legally carry. So there's no 8m for soil. If there's soil in an 8m, we can't pick it up until it's out.
