Clean Fill
Uncontaminated soil and dirt, free of debris and plants. No rubbish, though some roots and turf are fine.
Concrete
Dispose of concrete, bricks and roof tiles. No rubbish. Ceramic tiles $100 extra.
General
Everyday household rubbish like furniture and packaging. No concrete. No soil. No ceramic tiles. No hardwood. No renovation waste. Book Mixed / Heavy for that. Or Light Construction, if there are no tiles, hardwood, soil, concrete or carpet.
Mixed / Heavy
Mix of all of the above. Concrete, bricks, green waste, clean fill, general waste, household clean-ups and renovation rubbish. Ceramic tiles and hardwood accepted. The 8m takes no soil, concrete or besser blocks.
Light Construction
Light waste from building and renovation jobs: timber, plasterboard, flooring, metal and glass. Rubbish from the job is fine. No tiles. No soil. No concrete. No hardwood. No rolls of carpet or underlay.

Which bin for a mixed load of rubble and rubbish?

You want mixed and heavy. About four in ten bins booked online in Burpengary are mixed and heavy, more than most of our area. The 6m gets booked most for it, just ahead of the 4m. It takes up to 6,000kg for $860. Add the drop-down door for $910 all up, and barrow the load in.

How big a bin for general rubbish?

The 3m is the size booked most here for general waste. It's $360, takes up to 600kg, and fits about 12 wheelie bins of rubbish.

Too much garden waste for the council bin?

A 2m green waste skip bin holds about 8 wheelie bins of garden waste, up to 400kg, for $300. Council's garden waste bin holds 240 litres, and it won't be emptied if it weighs over 40kg.

Will the council want a permit?

No. City of Moreton Bay doesn't need one for a bin on your own property, like your driveway.

What if I need it past the week?

You can keep it. Going over costs $33 a day on a 2m to 4m, or $55 on a 6m or 8m. Hardly anyone here keeps it past the week.
