Green Waste
Organic garden refuse like grass, leaves, and branches. No rubbish. No soil.
Clean Fill
Uncontaminated soil and dirt, free of debris and plants. No rubbish, though some roots and turf are fine.
Concrete
Dispose of concrete, bricks and roof tiles. No rubbish. Ceramic tiles $100 extra.
General
Everyday household rubbish like furniture and packaging. No concrete. No soil. No ceramic tiles. No hardwood. No renovation waste. Book Mixed / Heavy for that. Or Light Construction, if there are no tiles, hardwood, soil, concrete or carpet.
Mixed / Heavy
Mix of all of the above. Concrete, bricks, green waste, clean fill, general waste, household clean-ups and renovation rubbish. Ceramic tiles and hardwood accepted. The 8m takes no soil, concrete or besser blocks.
Light Construction
Light waste from building and renovation jobs: timber, plasterboard, flooring, metal and glass. Rubbish from the job is fine. No tiles. No soil. No concrete. No hardwood. No rolls of carpet or underlay.

How small can I go?

A 2m is our smallest. At $310, it's our cheapest general waste bin, and it takes up to 400kg. About one bin in five booked online here is a 2m. Across our area, it's closer to one in seven.

Is my load general waste or mixed and heavy?

If it's renovation rubbish, or has tiles, concrete or soil mixed in, it's mixed and heavy. General waste is half of what's booked online in Morayfield, and mixed and heavy a third.

What size for a heavier job?

Mixed and heavy loads here mostly go in a 6m or a 4m. The 6m costs $860 and takes 6,000kg. The 4m is $660 for 4,000kg. Pulling up pavers or an old path? The 4m with the drop-down door is $450 for concrete and brick alone.

Is a council permit needed?

Not for our bins. They go on your own property, like your driveway, and that doesn't need one.

Will a week be long enough?

Most of the time. About one in ten keeps it longer. That's $33 a day on a 2m to 4m, or $55 on a 6m.
